My musical journey started 2 decades ago as an 11/12 year old watching the film "Breakdance". Spent the next few years eating up every bit of hip hop I could get my hands on also taking in the sounds of early sounds of techno before the explosion of the acid house scene took me away from away from the hip hop into the rave scene. From 90 to 93 music was my way of life - favourites clubs being Sterns in Worthing and any event at the Astoria. My journey's took me from an aircraft hanger in Edinburgh to outdoor events in the West Country. Had decks since I was 17 and somehow scrapped together the money to buy records off my pocket money - now have a record collection from Derrick May to Devious D to the Dark Stranger, totally mad to see that some of the tunes I bought for £4 10 years ago are now swapping hands for £30 or more. Very excited to find out that the oldskool scene has gone though a huge rival in the last couple of years and that it wasn't just me livin' in the past. Dusted off the decks and here I am, love my music hard and obvious favourite DJ is Ratty, top labels would be Formation and Basement. Will be playing mainly oldskool 90 to 93 but may drop in some old acid, detriot techno and getting a bit more up to date the odd hard house tune (ones which sample oldskool of course though).
