EZ All, I’m Andy (DJ ABO) you can catch me from 7PM - 9PM Friday nights on the 1 and only www.breakpirates.com During 1992 I bought a few tunes ardcore but I spent most of my time buying tapes and saving for decks which I finally got in July 1993. It took me ages to learn how to beat match as my mates weren’t into the scene but I eventually met somebody who helped me out! I started off playing hardcore and then moved onto drum & bass and happy hardcore. During 1996 / 1997 I went off Happy Hardcore and started buying a lot of Atmospheric drum & bass and I also started to pick up old hardcore tunes as well. Around about 2000 I bought my PC and got totally hooked back into Old Skool again and have been ever since! Recently I have got back into the atmospheric drum & bass again - quality tunes!! I am also a big believer in the new music that encompasses the feel of old skool hardcore and drum and bass. There seems to be a growing number of producers producing new tunage that has that original feel to it from back in the day but with wicked new production techniques. This is great news as it freshens up my old skool sets. You will hear many of these new tunes on my show. I also love nu skool breaks and drum & bass, on my Friday night show you can expect a mixture of old skool hardcore, new breakbeat hardcore and drum & bass (the full circumference of sounds) I tend to record my sets from breakpirates so if you want anything uploaded then just ask me! Thanks to all of those who make Friday nights such a wicked night, you know who you are but especially Liquid, The Spookster, The Dossa and The Shed Crew who are there virtually every week and Daddy Genius & K Swiss for being wicked guests.
